Scene w/ Lien & Sweetness

I entered a 7-Eleven because I was looking for some coffee after such a long voyage.

I remember seeing a young lady trying to grab some donuts inside the donut case. I was waiting for her to finish because since ahe was pregnant I didn’t want to rush her and she was in the way of me getting to the coffee area.

Then a lady appeared from around the donut case and approached the young lady and told her, “you still haven’t decided in which donut you are going to get, its been 15 minutes already you know?”

The young lady replied saying, I can’t only think for myself, I also have to think for my child and how she feels.”

At this point since I was waiting to get by and didn’t want to get in the way of these ladies I kindly said, “Pardon me please.”

The lady told the younger girl, “For goodness sakes please let this lady pass by Lien.”

I tried to be quick because I was drained and had to get back to my husband. As I was choosing my coffee, the conversations between the two ladies continued on.

“Lien you know what, I will choose the donut for you,  have even chosen the baby’s father as well because if it was a white man you would have not been acting like this. You young girls nowadays don’t never know ehat you want in life.”

“Don’t you agree with me ma’am?”, the lady asked me.

I didn’t even know what to say nor wanted to get inlvolved. But to not seem as I was ignoring  the lady I said, “A human has different journeys and hopefully those journerys take us to the right route.” I actually thought about what I said and connected it to my life because I actually was lost at that specific moment.

The lady told Lien, “I hope your child isn’t like you”, and took grabbed hee to the check out.

I heard Lien say, Sweetness, I hope this donut is as sweet s your name nd not like you.”

I was soon reaching my destination as the gps signaled that I would arrive in four minutes. I continued to follow the directions of the gps, only to find that the destination was a DEAD END. I was so confused and felt betrayed by the direction that the gps was leading me in. I didn’t know where to go, but all I know is that I had to find my destination one way or another. I proceeded doing a u-turn in order to see what I missed. But every other address was not as the address I put on the gps. No one was able to help me when I asked them about the address I was looking for. At this point I’m feeling like I wasted my time but frustrated at this foolery. I called my husband to see if he can give me the exact address of the destination. He confirmed to me that I had the right address. Since he was there, I asked him, “Well may you please come and get me because all I see is a dead end.” He replied telling me he counts because he was busy attending his customers. “So now what?”, I thought to myself. “How are you going to facilitate me, when I am trying to do you a favor?”, I told my husband. “Well sweety please try to make it, because I can’t talk and work nor leave my client in the middle of the job,” my husband replied. I was out of it, no one wanted to help me or knew how to help me or made a pretext. I thought to myself, what if this was an emergency, or a severe emergency? How was my husband going to aid to my needs if something was severely happening to me. Nothing was severely happening to me at the moment, but clearly I am lost and not knowing what to do, and my husband took my phone call very light as I am troubled and perplexed.

Suddenly a strong gust sort pushed over the sign of the dead end. And I slowly walked closer to it. Not knowing what to expect and I took a valiant step, and pushed the sign just a little. I won’t lie, I was frightened and got the chills. I wish my husband was here with me.

Imagery Prompt #5

Hareomi, wanted to own it, as she stares at her brain’s storm. She believed it was given to her, there was a way of dealing with it in such a way, where she was able to dominate it very well after trails and errors. It was Hareomi’s duty to care for it, just like a mother bird visits her nest and nourishes her babies. Not easy to saturate the satisfying liquids in it, like a person so thirsty all they can think of is water. She loved her own natural grown plants and took pride in it, like a gardener who shows off their garden. But this could have been a problem at the same time for Hareomi because she did not know how to manage her garden. Others would like to give their input and say what she should do in her garden and some are even willing to alter or yank the roots of her crops. Why? No on understands what you posses, like they saying “You never know what you have til its gone.” Although setbacks have been a tough journey, Hareomi never chooses to give up, even if the process is difficult like passing an exam. She’s for it, she’s about it, but sometimes she doesn’t know what it can possibly prefer, like a mother who shops at the market wanting the best food for their child and her hope is that they get to eat it and enjoy it. So many stories about this garden, sometimes it has a life of its own as day falls and night comes. Maintenance is no where easy, but Hareomi rather nourishes it through trial and error than giving up. Once it comes to part, she will embrace all the hard work, like a worker saving up for pension. She will embrace and own it, she will encourage others to put time to their garden and make a lot of emphasis on trimming the garden from time to time because no one likes an uneven field of grass.
