The Secret

Zac – I just saw your brother on St. John’s.

Angel – Ok? But not interested.

Zac – Angel, why are you behaving like that?  You need to have a heart of forgiveness. I’m not saying to become his buddy again, but                  try to let go.

Angel – You don’t know how hurt I feel when I think about what he did.

Zac – I know.

Angel – No! You don’t.  Just leave it alone Zac.

Zac – One day you’ll regret it Angel.  Don’t let it get to that place.

Angel – Well, when I get to that place, I’ll let you know how I’m feeling.

Zac – …So what is for dinner?  I hope is something fun.

Angel – Why don’t you go home!

PROMPT #2 My New Home

It was breath taking as I entered my new home for the very first time. The  cool colors of the walls that instantly brought a calm feeling within.me.  I can just imagine :as I enter my home from work what relaxing satisfaction it will bring. The ambiance of the living room allows me to visualize the much entertainment that will take place and yet the joy of being alone watching a movie while eating popcorn. As I entered the kitchen I saw my husband and I preparing meals together enjoying each other’s company. This kitchen has an airy feel to it which brings back memories of being in my beach house. Such life, vigor, and freshness from the flowers outside which I must add bring color to the atmosphere inside. The bathrooms were welcoming. I’m very particular about details, such as, lighting, faucets etc so when I saw the beauty that was created my eyes lit up. Everything was placed in its rightful position. The last place I wanted to leave for last was the master bedroom.  This is the area in a home that forces one to unleash all the emotions.  Experiences different emotion

Inspiration: Racial Tension/Awareness Through Metaphors

At Lexington and 53rd St, he walked into the E Train and pushed his way through the cluster of bodies who were minding their business by reading and some quietly listening to music on their phones. After the rustling and shuffling of feet, and the air cleared, his eyes were burnt by the color that they saw.  There wasn’t any blend, but a scarce drop of black raisins here or dear that put him in a quandary.  He sat, he gazed, a furious gaze pelting back and forth through the car.  His tongue shivered to utter words that would create his satisfaction, but an unknown force kept holding back his warriors which placed him in a state of bewilderment. His fury was boiling over.

The train reached 7th Ave. He sunk himself in disgrace and shame which appeared that he failed to stand up for his cause.  A grim look lined his faced forcing him to lay his eyes to the lowest point – the floor. He violently kept shaking his head with frustration and grave shame not knowing what to do and making gesticulations with his fingers as though they were conversing with him.  He wanted so badly to relentlessly unleash his wrath upon the scum of the earth as he saw it but was unsuccessful.

His destination arrived – 42st. He walked out of the car with a sense of unfinished business upon his shoulders but did not pursue it.  A sense of heaviness cloaked around his body as he continued to walk out of the car, then suddenly, a vigorous high fueled through his body as he impulsively turned around and lambaste them with fiery darts as the doors slowly closed in front of him.
